If you own a Dyna Comp, well you already know you own a good compressor. It’s a little on the harsh side.

There's lots of info on the web about Dyna Comp and the Ross mod,. The Ross compressor was the best one out there. It is actually a modified Dyna Comp.
And yes, of course you get a cool LED! It’s bright blue when on, clear when off. After our mod, your Dyna Comp can compete with those boutique pedals selling for three times as much as the stock Dyna Comp!

BOSS Compressor Sustainer CS-3
Modest Mike's CS-3 Mod ($49.99)
The CS-3 is the latest and greatest in a line of Boss compression/sustainers. It’s a good pedal with a few issues. I have studied other people’s mods, and I have done those mods for other people. While the parts may vary, it seems everyone who gets paid to mod this pedal agrees that the CS-3 needs more bass and less noise! The tone knob seems to go from muddy to painfully sharp. If you turn up the attack, it sucks the top right off of the notes you are playing. If you crank up the volume you turn up the noise…it may even hiss at you! Some musicians are not ready to give up their CS-2, because it is actually a little quieter and warmer than the CS-3.
We start by replacing those cheap capacitors to help eliminate noise and hiss. Then we replace other components such as resistors with metal film resistors of different values to bring up the volume, help out with tone, bring up the base, and give it more body. We replace your LED with a nice bright one that is clear when off, and blue when on.
